Philadelphia Engagement. Iris + Huy

We recently had the opportunity to travel to Philadelphia and New York City to shoot a couple of destination engagement sessions. While in Philadelphia, we met up with Iris and Huy, who recently got married in San Diego. Iris and Huy live in Philadelphia and decided to have their engagement pictures in their neighborhood, which was great, because they live near Rittenhouse Square, which is located in the heart of historic Philadelphia. We’re talking walking distance to important landmarks like the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, which was really cool! Even though it drizzled on and off during the session, it was a great day with a really fun couple. And I must say, umbrellas and a cute raincoat can really make an adorable rainy day shoot : )

Coronado San Diego Urban Engagement. Jaime + Ethan

On a beautiful sunny day in San Diego, Maurice and I met up with Jaime and Ethan in Coronado. Jaime and Ethan are San Diego transplants who currently live in San Francisco. They will be getting married this fall at The Prado in Balboa Park.

Jaime is a writer and I love her fashion sense. That girl knows how to dress for sure! I loved all the fun and colorful outfits that she brought for their engagement session! Ethan is a laid back and friendly guy. Together, they make an awesome couple filled with lots of love and most of all fun. It was a joy to capture their admiration for each other.

Strawberry Farms Golf Course Wedding, Irvine. Jeanette + Ben

Jeanette and Ben were married on a glorious day in Irvine at the Strawberry Farms Golf Course. They were surrounded by close family and friends and this modern vintage themed wedding went off without a hitch and was filled with lots of love.

Jeanette is an interior decorator for Pinkberry. How fun?! Jeanette used her skills as a interior decorator to create the modern vintage look of the wedding. I loved how the tables were adorned with vintage patterned fabrics and the homemade jam made for each of the guests and given as favors.

There were two things that were apparent throughout the day. The first was Jeanette and Ben’s undeniable love for each other. The second was the love for the couple from all their friends and family. Ben, a former Army Ranger, celebrated the night with his buddies who really turned up the fun at the reception and the dance-off that happened among the guests was incredible! We had a blast capturing these special moments.

San Diego Sunset Cliffs and Urban Downtown Engagement. Rebecca + John

Maurice and I would definitely agree that one of the perks about living in “America’s Finest City” is getting to meet and work with all the great people who come to visit our fair city. Rebecca and John are a perfect example of that.

Hailing from Texas, Rebecca and John decided that they wanted to have a destination wedding in San Diego. They arrived right before their wedding and after speaking/emailing over the phone a couple of times, it was great to finally put a face to the voice/words when we met to take their engagement photos. We shot their pictures in and around various places in urban San Diego and Sunset Cliffs of Point Loma. A couple of days after that, we photographed their intimate wedding at Ponte Winery. San Diego Pacific Beach Engagement . Jennifer + Michael

One of the things that makes San Diego a great place to live is all of the outdoor things that you can do, like bike riding on the boardwalk! Let me introduce you to Jennifer and Michael.

Jennifer and Michael are a fun-loving couple who can be found most weekends cruising through Pacific Beach to their favorite spots on their beach cruisers. Since that is something that they do as a couple, it was fun to capture them riding their beach cruisers on the Mission Beach boardwalk in their engagement photo shoot. We had a blast.

Jennifer and Michael just got married at the La Venta Inn in Pacific Palisades. Stay tuned for their wedding photos!
