Oceanside Outdoor + Harbor Engagement . Rebecca + Brendan

On another beautiful day in San Diego, we met up with Rebecca and Brendan in Oceanside. Rebecca and Brendan were married this spring at the North Chapel at the NTC Liberty Station.

We started our day by hanging out by some old bridges no longer in use. After that we headed towards Oceanside’s harbor and shot around the colorful shops. All in all, the day was a lot of fun and Rebecca and Brenda is such a sweet couple!

San Diego Downtown Wedding . El Cortez . Pancy + Mike

On a sunny and clear skied day, Pancy and Mike were married at the historic El Corte z in downtown San Diego.

It was a beautiful affair, starting with the Ceremony outside on the patio, which is known for it’s stunning view of downtown. Following cocktails on the patio was their reception in the legendary Don Room. The wedding was filled with bold reds with touches of blue and gold. A custom made gobo lit up the dance floor to add to the magic to what was already a fabulous day. Pancy and Mike kicked off the reception by doing their first dance sung by one of their close friends. That set the tone for the rest of the night, which was a pretty rocking party!

Pancy and Mike: It was a pleasure to have been apart of your special day! We hope that your years to come are filled with lots of happiness, joy and most of all love!

Mt. Helix Private Estate Wedding . San Diego . Sarah + Chris

Sarah and Chris were married on a beautiful spring day at Sarah’s parent’s home located on Mt. Helix. The ceremony was held hillside, overlooking the San Diego’s picturesque countryside. The reception was held at the home, which was just above the ceremony location, which had an equally breathtaking view. The wedding was an elegant affair that had a dance floor that was set up on top of what was the pool. For their favors, they gave out jars of hand-picked macadamia nuts that were grown by Sarah’s family’s orchard. All in all, it was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple and you could feel the love all around.

San Diego Urban Engagement. Sarah + Chris

On another gorgeous day, we headed Downtown San Diego to meet up with Sarah and Chris. They live in Downtown, so it was a natural choice to include their downtown neighborhood in the shoot.

Sarah is a HUGE sports fan and has a soft spot for all of our local teams. Chris, an avid cyclist, broke out his bike for a couple of shots. They even included their adorable pup in the shoot. It was a blast walking around with them through the colorful and captivating locations of Downtown San Diego.

Shortly after we took their engagement photos, they were married at a private estate on Mt. Helix. Stay tuned, their wedding photos are coming soon!

New York City Engagement Session. Kathleen + John

We recently had the opportunity to travel to Philadelphia and New York City to shoot a couple of destination engagement sessions. You may recall Iris and Huy’s shoot here. Well, after shooting in Philadelphia, we made a quick trip northward to New York City to meet up with Kathleen and John. They are fortunate enough to live right in the heart of midtown Manhattan … sigh … (jealous much?) but will be getting married in San Diego this fall at the Mission de Alcala with their reception at the Coronado Island Marriott.

Kathleen and John are the quintessential metropolitan couple. What better place to take their pictures than in the city they love? We started our session in Central Park, close to the world famous Fifth Avenue Apple Store and the Plaza Hotel. After that, we took a cab south to the Flatiron Building near Madison Square Park, stopped for a little Bocce Ball game in Madison Square Park, and then ended our tour in the Gramercy Park area. We had a blast hanging out and getting to know Kathleen and John while we walked around their picturesque city.

Even though I love San Diego very much, I must say that I left some of my heart in New York City. Maurice and I heart HEART heart that place and can’t wait to go back!

Kathleen and John: We can’t wait to see you again this fall!
